The wholesale price of mandarins in Uzbekistan has decreased since last week, reaching the lowest level for this time of year, as reported by EastFruit analysts.

Last week, the wholesale price of mandarins in Uzbekistan dropped sharply by 38% in just one week. This decline is attributed to a significant influx of mandarins of the Pakistan into the Uzbekistan market.

Between December 8 and December 15, 2023, the average wholesale price of mandarins in Uzbekistan fell from 10,000 to 8,000 soums per 1 kg, marking a 20% decrease. Considering the average wholesale price of this fruit at the end of October was 29,000 soums, it implies that the value of mandarins has decreased by 3.6 times.

Compared to the same period last year, the price of tangerines has dropped by 27%, and in comparison to the 2021 indicator, it has decreased by 33%.

For reference, in 2022, Iran led the countries supplying mandarins to Uzbekistan.

Additionally, the wholesale price of oranges in Uzbekistan has significantly decreased compared to the same period last year.
