Methane gas price will increase in Uzbekistan from June 1

From June 1 to August 1, 2024, the maximum price for one cubic meter of methane gas will be set at 3,750 soums. This change was established in a Cabinet of Ministers decision dated May 25, 2024, which extended the current highest retail price for methane gas.
According to the decision, natural gas sales, including automotive refueling at compressor stations, will adhere to the highest retail price of 3,750 soums per cubic meter until August 1, 2024, as stipulated in decision No. 475 from September 15, 2023.
This extension means the price cap that was supposed to end on June 1 will now remain in effect for an additional two months with some modifications.
Previously, the price was set at 3,250 soums until April 1, 2024, and 3,350 soums until June 1, 2024.
