Uzbekistan and the U.S. sign series of bilateral agreements

A document exchange ceremony was held following a roundtable meeting with leaders of major U.S. companies, investment funds, and financial institutions, attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, the presidential press service reported.

The following agreements were signed:

  •  A cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Geology of Uzbekistan and Denali Exploration Group on the exploration and development of rare earth elements;
  •  A cooperation agreement between the Uzbekistan Fund for Reconstruction and Development and ReElement Technologies on joint projects in the field of rare metals;
  •  A memorandum between the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and Flowserve on the modernization of pumping stations;
  •  An agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture and Valmont Industries Inc. on the introduction of modern water-saving technologies;
  •  A memorandum between the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Palo Alto Networks on expanding cooperation in artificial intelligence;
  •  An aircraft supply contract between Uzbekistan Airways and Boeing;
  •  A contract between Datacrop and Louis Dreyfus Company for the supply of soybeans and soybean meal;
  •  A cotton supply contract between Uzsanoatexport and Cargill.

Earlier, President Mirziyoyev met with John Jovanovich, President of the U.S. Export–Import Bank, and Ben Black, CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). He also held talks with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick in Washington, D.C., and met with representatives of leading American companies, investment funds, and financial institutions as part of his official work program.
