6613Chairman of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, Mufti Nuriddin Khaliqnazarov became a member of the International Council of Muslim Scholars in Qatar. This was reported by the press service of the agency.
Presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev also mentioned this news during a meeting in Surkhandarya.
“Yesterday, the Chairman of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, His Highness the Mufti, became a member of the International Council of Muslim Scholars in Qatar, which gives us all satisfaction. “It would be correct to say that the international recognition of the reforms we have carried out in the religious and educational sphere in the past period is another high evaluation of the contribution of our people to the development of the Islamic religion,” said Mirziyoyev.
For information, Nuriddin Khaliqnazarov was born in 1968 in the city of Asaka, Andijan region. In 1992, he graduated from Mir Arab madrasa in Bukhara region, in 1998 he graduated from Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari, and in 2007 he graduated from Fergana State University. On October 19, 2021, he was elected to the position of chairman of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, mufti. Nuriddin Khaliqnazarov was also awarded the title of “Honorary Doctor” on June 4 of this year.
