The newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden on December 4 of this year. This was reported by "Dunyo".

It is reported that during the conversation that took place after the official ceremony, the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden in various areas were discussed.

During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on increasing the volume of mutual trade between the two countries, promoting dialogue between economic sectors and businessmen, adapting to climate change, and expanding ties in the "green" economy, science and education, healthcare, and culture.

It is noted that Ambassador Rahmatulla Nurimbetov visited the Swedish capital on October 15. Before his appointment to Stockholm, he served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in 2023–2024. Rahmatulla Nurimbetov replaces Nodir Ganiev, who headed the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Sweden in 2022–2024.

We would like to remind you that earlier, Uzbek Ambassador Oybek Shahavdinov presented his credentials to Croatian President Zoran Milanovic.
