Uzbekistan's diplomatic mission in Cyprus begins: Credentials presented

1573The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan, Abat Fayzullayev (headquartered in Rome), has presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis. This was reported by 'Dunyo.'
During the credential presentation ceremony, the President of Cyprus warmly welcomed the new ambassadors, offering his best wishes for their success in fulfilling their diplomatic duties. He also expressed hope that they would make a significant contribution to the development of both bilateral and multilateral relations.
In his remarks, President Nikos Christodoulidis emphasized the importance of enhancing relations with Uzbekistan.
“We pay special attention to the development of bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan, as well as within the framework of the European Union,” said the President.
For context, diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Cyprus were established on May 30, 1997. Abat Fayzullayev is the first ambassador of Uzbekistan to Cyprus.
It should be noted that Fayzullayev was appointed as the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy in October 2023.
