Uganda appoints its first ambassador to Uzbekistan

1580On October 16, Mr. Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige, Uganda’s first Ambassador to Uzbekistan, arrived in Tashkent, as announced by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov on his Telegram channel.
The Ugandan ambassador was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
“We commend Uganda for its successful chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement and appreciate its support for our upcoming chairmanship of the Movement in 2027-2029. The establishment of political consultations between our Ministries of Foreign Affairs will lay a strong foundation for fruitful and promising cooperation between our countries. Strengthening business relations, collaborating within international organizations, unlocking untapped potential, and other key issues were also on our agenda,” Saidov stated.
It is noteworthy that earlier, Nicaragua also appointed its first ambassador to Uzbekistan. Tatyana Daniela Garcia Silva, Nicaragua’s first ambassador to the country, was received by Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov.
