Uzbekistan and China have signed an agreement allowing citizens to travel visa-free for up to 30 days. This development was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on his Telegram channel after a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi.

“As part of the agreements reached between the heads of state of Uzbekistan and China, we have signed a document enabling our citizens to travel to each other’s countries without a visa for 30 days,” wrote Saidov. “This agreement is a significant step in enhancing our bilateral relations, increasing trade turnover, and fostering people-to-people connections.”

Earlier negotiations between the Embassy of Uzbekistan and representatives from the Consular Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also focused on establishing a visa-free regime. Uzbekistan has identified further liberalization of visa requirements as a priority in its consular and legal cooperation strategy, particularly working towards mutual visa exemptions with other nations.
