Lavrov's visit to Uzbekistan was postponed

The planned visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Uzbekistan on October 28-29 has been postponed. This information was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

It was noted that today, October 26, Lavrov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, during which they reached an agreement to reschedule his trip to Tashkent, originally scheduled for October 28-29, due to a change in the visit plans.

The report confirmed the intention to continue active cooperation in implementing decisions aimed at further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan, as adopted by the leaders of both countries.

Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, confirmed that he spoke with his Russian counterpart and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.

It is worth recalling that earlier, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Sergey Lavrov would be coming to Uzbekistan for a working visit on October 28-29, where he was to be received by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
