A woman who is called to a meeting at night died after being run over by Nexia

In Samarkand region, a woman who was summoned to a meeting of authorities at night died after being run over by Nexia.  This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to reports, the incident took place on July 19 of this year in Pastdargom district.  The deceased worked as a family and women’s activist in “Otarchi” neighborhood.  On his way to the meeting of the authorities, he passed through an unmarked part of the road, and at that moment, the driver of a Nexia car increased the speed and hit a woman who was crossing from the left side to the right side of the road.  As a result, the woman died of injuries.

According to relatives of the deceased, the woman was called to the governor’s office for a business meeting that day.  The woman prepared a report without even going to her close relative’s wedding and left her house in a hurry.  But at 23:00 at night there was a message about the woman.

“In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been opened by the investigation department of the Internal Affairs Department of the Pastdargom district under part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, and preliminary investigations are being carried out,” the ministry said.
