Prices for drinking water and wastewater services to increase in Samarkand

2020Starting April 1, 2025, new tariffs for drinking water and wastewater services will be introduced in the Samarkand region. This was stated in a resolution of the Samarkand Regional Council of People's Deputies, titled “On Determining the Amount of Tariffs for Drinking Water and Wastewater Services in the Samarkand Region.”
According to the resolution, on March 24, the regional Council of People's Deputies approved new rates for drinking water supply and wastewater services. The updated prices per cubic meter are as follows:
Drinking water:
- For the population: 2,800 sums
- For budget organizations and wholesale consumers: 6,700 sums
Wastewater services:
- For the population: 1,900 sums
- For budget organizations and wholesale consumers: 5,300 sums
These prices are calculated without value-added tax (VAT) for all categories, including the population, budget organizations, and wholesale consumers.
The responsibility for implementing this resolution has been assigned to the Standing Commission of the Regional Council of People's Deputies on Local Budget, Entrepreneurship Development, and Economic Reforms, as well as the Deputy Governor of the region, Akmal Shukurov.
It should be noted that earlier, mandatory payment tariffs for household waste collection and disposal services were increased in the Fergana region.
