Law enforcement seizes 51 cannabis plants in Samarkand operation (video)

As part of the large-scale preventive initiative "Safe and Healthy Homeland," law enforcement officers in the Narpay district, Samarkand region, identified an individual cultivating narcotic plants at his residence. The discovery was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

During an inspection of the 41-year-old man's home, authorities first found evidence of an illegal connection to the electricity grid. Further examination revealed that he had been growing and nurturing 51 cannabis plants in his yard. These plants were documented and confiscated as material evidence.

According to the Expert Criminalistics Center of the regional Department of Internal Affairs, the 51 green, fresh plants were confirmed to belong to the narcotic plant category. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 270 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are ongoing.

Previously, in Tashkent's Mirzo Ulugbek district, authorities discovered a man cultivating six cannabis plants at his home. In another case, an individual growing 21 cannabis plants was apprehended. During the inspection of his residence, nearly one kilogram of dried narcotics was also confiscated.
