Flash flood warning declared in 8 regions of Uzbekistan

Due to the expected rains on April 19-22 of this year, flash floods may occur in the mountainous regions of the republic. This was reported by Uzhydromet.

Kashkadarya region: Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shakhrisabz, Kamashi, Guzar districts;  
Surkhandarya region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherabod, Shorchi, Kumkurgan, Muzrobot districts;  
Samarkand region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurabad, Kushrabot, Kattakurgan, Payarik, Jamboy, Ishtikhan districts;  
Jizzakh region: Zomin, Bakhmal, Gallaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, Yangiobod districts;  
Tashkent region: Ahangaran, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Piskent, Ortachirchik, Yukarichirchik districts, and in the cities of Angren and Almalyk;  
Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortok, Chust, Namangan, Yangikurgan districts;  
Fergana region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, Besharik districts;  
Andijan region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalakuduk, Kurgantepa, Pakhtaobod, Izboskan, Khojaobod, Markhamat districts, and the city of Honobod.  

Citizens living in mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in these regions are urged to take precautionary measures. There is also a possibility of rainwater accumulation throughout the country, which may lead to flooding in certain areas.
