50539It has been widely circulated on social media that a raid conducted by the Tashkent City Administration of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Committee in the Yakkasaray district uncovered 128 kg of donkey meat. However, the press service of the committee has denied these reports, stating that they are entirely false.
According to the committee's press release, the Tashkent City Administration of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Committee did not carry out any raid related to this incident. Therefore, the claims that employees discovered donkey meat in a meat storage facility have no basis.
Furthermore, the committee clarified that the responsibility for examining the quality of meat products and granting permission for their sale lies with the Laboratory of Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise, not the Committee of Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health.
Despite this clarification, the committee did not provide any information regarding the source of their statement or address the specific report in question, dismissing it as unfounded.
It's worth noting that in a separate incident, the Road Patrol Service in Sirdarya intercepted a shipment of beef deemed unfit for consumption, which was en route to Tashkent. Additionally, an individual transporting 1 ton of unfit meat from the Bukhara region to Tashkent was apprehended.
