A significant seizure of unfit meat products occurred in the Bulungur district of the Samarkand region when authorities intercepted a car transporting 2 tons of spoiled beef. The regional Road Safety Department reported the incident.

On the night of February 15, a Shineray T30 vehicle, driven by a 1997-born driver, was stopped at the Yuqori Nuqta road patrol service station on the Namangan-Samarkand route. Upon inspection, authorities discovered 2,000 kg of beef in the trunk of the vehicle.

The meat's suitability for consumption was tested at the Samarkand Regional State Center for Diagnosis of Animal Diseases and Food Safety. According to the institution's findings, the meat was deemed unfit for human consumption and was subsequently destroyed by the established procedure.

This seizure follows a previous incident in the Surkhandarya region, where 1,015 kilograms of unfit meat were found during a raid by the Quarantine Measures Department and the Regional Veterinary and Livestock Development Department.
