Man fatally stabs a woman's ex-husband 24 times

In Tashkent's Bektemir district, a young man killed his wife's ex-husband by stabbing him 24 times. This information was shared by Aziz Obidov, the press secretary of the Supreme Court.
According to reports, the 1997-born defendant aimed to resolve a conflict between his wife, born in 1998, and her ex-husband. He arranged to meet the ex-husband in front of a shopping complex in Bektemir district.
The defendant attacked the victim with a sharp object, inflicting 24 wounds. The entire incident was captured on the shopping complex's surveillance camera. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the victim died at the scene.
The Bektemir District Court handled the criminal case arising from this incident. During the trial, the defendant refused to provide details about the events.
"I apologize to his family. I didn't want this to happen. No matter how much I regret it, I can't bring him back. If you can forgive me, please do," the defendant said.
The defendant received a 17-year prison sentence.
It should be noted that earlier in the Fergana region, a man who killed his wife was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
