Driver and two pedestrians die in a traffic accident in Tashkent

7285Today, October 22, a tragic traffic accident in Tashkent claimed the lives of two pedestrians and a driver. The incident was reported by the General Department of Internal Affairs of the city.
The accident occurred at 06:20 on Bunyodkor Avenue in the Chilonzor district. According to reports, the driver, identified as S.K., born in 1985, was operating a Lacetti vehicle when the incident took place. Two pedestrians, S.K., born in 1953, and K.S., born in 1960, were crossing the road at an unmarked location when they were struck. The driver subsequently lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and collided with a tree.
All three individuals—both pedestrians and the driver—succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Following the accident, the Investigative Department of the Tashkent city Internal Affairs launched a criminal case under Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The investigation is currently ongoing.
It should be noted that earlier, a separate traffic accident occurred in the Furqat district of the Fergana region, resulting in two fatalities. In that incident, a Cobalt driver, traveling in the wrong direction despite foggy conditions, collided with a Damas vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.
