A scooter and motorcycle collision in Tashkent claims two lives

On June 8, a fatal traffic accident occurred in Tashkent’s Sergeli district, where both drivers involved in a collision between a scooter and a motorcycle lost their lives. The incident was confirmed by the Tashkent Traffic Safety Department.
According to the report, the crash took place at around 02:00 on Fayzli Tashkent Street. A QJ Motors motorcycle, driven by 25-year-old Sh.Kh., and a Drongo scooter, operated by 24-year-old M.Z., collided, resulting in the deaths of both riders.
The department stated that the drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate has launched a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to violations of vehicle operation and traffic safety rules. A preliminary investigation is currently underway.
For context, on April 29, another incident occurred in the Sergeli district where a Cobalt car struck a scooter carrying two people. The driver reportedly fled the scene after the ambulance arrived.
