Unknown person attacks 12-year-old schoolgirl in Tashkent (video)

On March 18, a video showing an unknown individual using force against a minor girl went viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion. In response, the Tashkent City Police Department issued a statement regarding the incident.  

According to the police, the event took place on March 10 at approximately 16:30 in the "Dustobod" neighborhood of the Yashnobod district. A 19-year-old man, identified as H.D., who has a second-degree disability and is registered at a psychiatric dispensary, assaulted a 12-year-old girl, M.H., as she was passing by. However, after M.H. screamed for help, H.D. released her and left the scene.  

Following an investigation, authorities confirmed that the girl was not harmed, and a psychologist interviewed her. On the same day, H.D. was admitted to a city psychiatric hospital.  

The investigation is still ongoing under the supervision of the Yashnobod district’s law enforcement authorities, and a legal decision will be made based on its findings.
