The Tashkent metro system is set to be extended to the Tashkent Tractor Plant (TTZ) district. This was announced today, March 20, during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s inspection of ongoing construction and urban development projects in Tashkent.

Plans to further develop public transportation in Tashkent were reviewed, and it was confirmed that the metro would be extended to reach the TTZ district.

Previously, the President had instructed officials to revisit and refine proposed projects while considering alternative solutions. As part of the updated plan, a 10-station route will connect the Buyuk Ipak Yo‘li metro line to the TTZ district. The new network will serve 30 neighborhoods and approximately 148,000 residents.

Additionally, President Mirziyoyev highlighted the importance of setting up compact bookstores at metro stations and waiting areas.
