Avalanche risk declared in several mountainous regions

Uzhydromet has issued an emergency warning regarding the risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of Uzbekistan due to expected precipitation and temperature fluctuations from March 20 to 25.
According to the report, avalanches may occur in the following areas:
- Kashkadarya region: Dehkanabad, Kitab, Kamashi, and Shakhrisabz districts
- Surkhandarya region: Boysun, Kumkurgan, Sariosiyo, and Uzun districts
- Samarkand region: Nurabad, Kushrabot, Samarkand, and Urgut districts
- Jizzakh region: Bakhmal and Zamin districts
- Tashkent region: Bostanlyk, Ahangaran, and Parkent districts (Chatkal range)
- Namangan region: Pop district
In light of this, residents of mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in these regions are urged to take precautionary measures.
