Uzhydromet issues urgent weather warning

Very hot air masses from the south will continue to affect Uzbekistan between July 18 and 20, according to Uzhydromet.

The weather agency said daytime temperatures are expected to reach 43–45 degrees Celsius across much of the country, while some southern and desert areas may experience temperatures of 46–48 degrees Celsius.

Wind speeds across the republic are expected to increase to 13–18 meters per second, with gusts occasionally reaching 20–22 meters per second. Dust storms are also possible in some areas.
