Tashkent gas explosion: Suicide attempt leads to fatal fall

Earlier, it was reported that a gas explosion occurred in a multi-story residential building in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. The Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department has provided additional information about the incident.
It is reported that fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 3:29 pm and discovered that a fire had broken out due to a gas explosion in an apartment on the 9th floor of a 9-story building. The fire was extinguished by 4:07 pm. Six people were rescued and handed over to emergency medical services.
Preliminary information indicates that the fire broke out in the apartment because a resident attempted to commit suicide by lighting a gas stove. The gas-air mixture exploded, causing the fire. Following the fire, the individual jumped from the 9th floor and was found dead.
Currently, efforts are underway to restore life activity in the high-rise building where the incident occurred.
Earlier, a gas-air mixture explosion occurred at a gas filling station in the Shahrikhon district of Andijan region. As a result, two individuals present at the gas filling station sustained injuries. They were admitted to the Central Hospital of the district medical association to receive qualified emergency medical care.
