Individuals attempting to illegally sell land for $580,000 were apprehended in Tashkent

Incidents involving the illegal sale of land in Tashkent, Andijan, and Fergana regions have been uncovered, according to a report by the State Security Service.

The director of an LLC operating in the Qibray district of Tashkent region colluded with the head of an animal husbandry farm in the Parkent district to sell 42.5 hectares of the farm's land to a buyer for $580,000. They were apprehended with physical evidence after receiving $550,000 of the agreed amount.

Additionally, a resident of Nurafshon, born in 1968, along with an accomplice born in 1971, attempted to sell 2 hectares of the 3.64 hectares of land allocated to his spouse by the Urta Chirchik district administration for beautification and gardening. They demanded $560,000 for the transaction, and their criminal activities were halted after they received $60,000.

In another case from the Fergana region, a citizen born in 1985, residing in Dangara district with a prior conviction, falsely claimed that he had been authorized in 2017 to construct a greenhouse on 1.3 hectares of land allocated for gardening by the district administration. He attempted to sell this land for $410,000 but was caught after receiving $35,000.

In the city of Kokand, a citizen born in 1991 deceived a businessman by falsely claiming ownership of 5 hectares of land under the city administration's reserve. He demanded $50,000 for transferring the land's ownership but was caught after accepting a $20,000 advance. A subsequent operation led to the arrest of his accomplice, born in 1956, who received $5,000 for preparing the necessary documents through connections in the government.

In Andijan city, a resident born in 1981 demanded $46,000 for 10 acres of land located in the "Buston" youth sub-zone through official contacts. He was apprehended after receiving $25,000.

It is worth noting that earlier in Tashkent and Jizzakh, mayoral aides were caught accepting bribes. Additionally, a fraudulent employee of "Uzbekfilm" was also apprehended while accepting a bribe.
