21677The trial of S.M., a suspect in the brutal murder of a 3-year-old boy in Tashkent, began on November 15 at 14:30 at the Mirzo Ulugbek District Court, according to QALAMPIR.UZ, the indictment reveals the shocking details of the case.
The defendant, S.M., had previously served a sentence for crimes related to the acquisition, storage, transport, and distribution of powerful substances. Despite this, he continued living an unhealthy lifestyle, failing to seek treatment or recovery, and became addicted to narcotics and potent substances.
On July 9 of this year, at approximately 02:57 a.m., S.M. consumed a combination of drugs, including "Regapen 300 mg," which contains the potent substance "pregabalin," and "Tropicamide 10 ml," which contains "tropicamide." Additionally, he took "Mephedrone," a drug containing "4-methyl methcathinone," mixing these substances to achieve intense intoxication and euphoria. Under the influence of these drugs, S.M. committed an unspeakably violent act, leading to the tragic death of his own child. The trial is continuing, with further revelations about the circumstances of the crime expected.
The tragic incident involved the defendant’s minor child, S.S., born in 2021, who resided with his mother, N.N., in an apartment located in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent. According to the investigation, the defendant became enraged when the child rejected his affection, instead seeking comfort from his mother. Driven by jealousy and anger, he allegedly decided to kill the child. The defendant armed himself with a "butterfly" folding knife from the house. Taking advantage of a moment when the child’s mother was on the porch, he climbed on top of the child and carried out the act. In an act described as both brutal and inhumane, the defendant stabbed S.S. multiple times with the sharp blade of the knife, targeting critical areas. Injuries included stabs to the left eye, left eyebrow, eyelid, temple, lung, nose, and forehead. The indictment notes that the child was killed with extreme cruelty, with one of the stabs piercing the bottom of the eyeball and injuring the brain.
"According to forensic report No. 162 dated August 3, 2024, the cause of death was determined to be "stabbing the left eyeball, piercing the bottom of the eyeball, and injuring the left hemisphere of the brain." The examination revealed extensive injuries across the child’s body, including cuts and puncture wounds on the left temple, right and left sides of the forehead, right eyelid, left cheek, and lower eyelid. Additional injuries included damage to the left lung, the left wing of the nose, the palms and fingers of both hands, the right spinal area, and both knees. The report also noted traumatic shock and external bleeding as contributing factors to the child’s death," the indictment says.
When N.N. attempted to intervene and stop the defendant from harming their child, S.M., the situation escalated. Despite being aware that N.N. was seven months pregnant, the defendant allegedly used physical force and violence against her, intending to kill her as well. Armed with the same "butterfly" folding knife, he inflicted multiple injuries to her hands during the altercation. Desperately trying to save herself, N.N. managed to escape the attack and ran outside, calling out to neighbors for help. The defendant, wielding the knife, chased after her but was forced to abandon his attack when he heard her screams and saw neighbors gathering in response.
Thanks to the intervention of neighbors, N.N. was rushed to the hospital. Medical professionals provided timely and skilled care, successfully saving her life.
"According to forensic medical examination report No. 4714-H-Raj, dated July 22, 2024, N.N. sustained multiple injuries. The report detailed stab wounds to the first finger of the left hand, left wrist, right wrist-palm joint, and the first palm bone of the right hand, as well as to the nape of her head. Additional injuries included multiple stab wounds to both arms, palms, and fingers, as well as bruises on the right shoulder, left wrist, and right shin. The indictment classifies these injuries as "minor injuries causing short-term health impairment" based on their severity," the indictment says.
Furthermore, the investigation revealed that the defendant, in collaboration with unidentified individuals, engaged in a criminal conspiracy. They allegedly possessed and stored narcotic drugs, analogs, and psychotropic substances in an apartment in the Yashnabad district. The substances included pregabalin (found in one tablet of "Regapen 300 mg") and tropicamide, a potent active ingredient, which was discovered in two 10 ml vials and adhesive preparations containing the substance. These items were allegedly intended for distribution.
