13810Reports on social media allege that a 13-year-old boy fatally attacked his relative in the Boyovut district of the Syrdarya region. QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Hayat Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the General Prosecutor's Office, for clarification.
According to Shamsutdinov, the incident took place on October 18. The body of a 23-year-old man, identified as F.J., was found in an abandoned canal area in the "Navbahor" neighborhood of Gulistan city. Investigations revealed that on that day, the minor, Sh.A., encountered his distant relative, F.J., while passing through the area between the "Dostlik" and "K-3" channels. Allegedly, F.J. urged Sh.A. to kill him, brandishing a knife. After Sh.A. refused, F.J. reportedly threatened him, prompting Sh.A. to fatally stab F.J. in self-defense.
It was reported that the deceased, F.J., had been registered with a psychiatric dispensary for "episodic paranoid schizophrenia."
On October 18, the Prosecutor's Office of Syrdarya Region initiated a criminal case under Article 97, Part 2, Clause "v" of the Criminal Code for deliberate murder, with preliminary investigations underway.
