Second season of “Initiative Budget” will begin on July 6

In Uzbekistan, the second season of the "Initiative Budget" project for 2024 is set to commence on July 6, as announced by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Key dates for the project are as follows:
- Submission of projects: July 6 - 26
- Selection of projects: July 26 - August 15
- Promotion: August 15 - 22
- Voting: August 22 - September 1
More than 2 trillion soums will be allocated from district and city budgets for this season. In 2024, the maximum value for individual projects will be 1 billion 360 million soums.
For context, 3.39 trillion soums were allocated from the state budget for the implementation of projects in the first season of the "Initiative Budget" for 2024.
We would like to remind you that the winners of the first season have already been announced. Additionally, there was an incident involving DIA officers who detained a citizen collecting votes for the "Initiative Budget" in Fergana.
