Another 177 projects win in “Open Budget”

4200In the second season of the "Initiative Budget" process in 2024, additional funds were allocated to 177 projects that did not initially receive a majority of votes. This information was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The projects include:
- 56 projects funded from additional local budget allocations, approved by district (city) Councils of People's Deputies, that did not initially win;
- 25 projects for which funding was previously below 20% of the project value;
- 96 non-winning projects that received more votes than the population of their respective neighborhoods have now been declared winners.
The complete list of winning projects can be found here. A total of 143.1 billion soums have been allocated for these projects.
For reference, the voting phase, which began on August 22, lasted until August 31 at 23:59, spanning 10 days. During this time, 39 complaints were received regarding forced voting. The highest number of complaints came from the Fergana region (7), followed by 6 complaints in Tashkent, and 5 each in Namangan and Jizzakh regions. Most complaints were related to secondary schools (19) and medical organizations (16). All complaints have been forwarded to the relevant district (city) Councils of People's Deputies for further investigation.
It should be noted that 1,772 winning projects from the second season of the "Initiative Budget" process in 2024 were announced earlier.
