47 more projects declared winners on Open Budget

Additional funding has been allocated for 47 projects that were not initially selected as winners in the first season of this year’s Initiative Budget program, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The ministry said that district and city councils of people’s deputies allocated 18.2 billion soums from additional local budget funds to finance the next highest-ranked projects that had not won in the initial round. As a result, 47 more projects were declared winners.

For reference, under the current procedure, district and city councils are authorized to announce additional winning projects using extra funds from local budgets.

Earlier, the winners of the first 2026 season of the Initiative Budget process were announced on the Open Budget portal. A total of 10 million 284 thousand votes were cast nationwide during the process.
