Starting from April 1, 2024, projects approved in the 'Initiative Budget' will only be accepted and put into use after obtaining approval from initiators, neighborhood chairmen, and activists regarding the quality of work. This directive was outlined in President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's decree 'On the State Program for the Implementation of the 'Uzbekistan - 2030' Strategy in Support of Youth and Business.'

According to the decree, until August 1, 2024, citizens' self-governing bodies will have the right to obtain information from state bodies and organizations regarding projects implemented within the 'Initiative Budget', demand timely and complete allocation of funds, and monitor project implementation by the public.

The implementation of these clauses has been entrusted to Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Ahadbek Haydarov, and Chairman of the Association of Neighborhoods of Uzbekistan, Kahramon Kuronboev.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy and Finance will commence publishing annual and semi-annual reports on State and local budget revenues, as well as realized and planned expenses, in a format easily understandable for the population.

It's worth noting that in the latest project competition season, a total of 1182 projects from 1007 neighborhoods were declared winners, with a budget allocation of 1 trillion 308 billion 645 million 965.5 thousand soums.
