Efficient use of natural resources is crucial for the environment and the country's economy

Uzbekistan possesses a wealth of minerals, containing almost all the elements of Mendeleev's periodic table, and has vast reserves of natural resources.

The country ranks among the top in the world for projected volumes of many minerals. Efficient use of these natural resources is vital for both the country's economic growth and maintaining environmental sustainability.

In its pre-election platform, the Social Democratic Party "Adolat" is advocating for measures to protect the state's land and underground reserves and to curb inefficient extraction of natural resources.

The party proposes the following actions in this regard:

• Enhancing laws to ensure the efficient and environmentally safe extraction of natural resources;
• Conducting environmental impact assessments, i.e., evaluating the impact of mining activities on the environment and implementing necessary measures;
• Organizing events, seminars, and educational programs on the effective and ecologically sound management of natural resources;
• Ensuring public participation in natural resource management and considering public opinion in decision-making.

This initiative by the party will undoubtedly be an important step toward maintaining ecological stability and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources.
