8030In the Surkhandarya region, it has come to light that a 32-year-old man was arrested for committing obscene acts against his neighbor's 10-year-old daughter and threatening her sexual integrity, according to the Children’s Ombudsman.
The report indicates that B. Sh., born in 1992, engaged in these acts on June 3 of this year. The man, identified as D.A., took advantage of the absence of others in the home to threaten the 10-year-old girl, D.A., and assault her. The girl's mother reported to the Children’s Rights Representative that B. Sh. had threatened to kill her daughter if she revealed the abuse. B. Sh. also claimed that the daughter had videotaped the incident when she entered the man’s house. Despite reporting this to investigative authorities, appropriate measures were not initially taken, leading the mother to seek assistance in protecting her child's rights.
As a result, on July 7 of this year, the Investigative Department under the Regional Internal Affairs Department initiated a criminal case against B. Sh. under Article 129, Part 2, Clause "v" (Lewd and lascivious acts against a person under the age of sixteen) of the Criminal Code. On July 26, B. Sh. was placed in pretrial detention.
The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the case materials have been forwarded to the appropriate court.
For context, a similar case was reported earlier in the Namangan district of the Namangan region, where an elderly man close to 70 years old was accused of committing a shameless and perverted act against a 7-year-old girl.
