On April 13, a worm was found in tandoori meat served at the "Bahor" public catering establishment located in the Shorchi district of the Surkhandarya region. The incident was reported by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee.
According to the committee, on the same day, specialists from the Shorchi district department conducted a full inspection. All types of food products were sampled, and sanitary, hygienic, and preventive medical measures were taken.
Samples of the restaurant’s equipment and food products were sent for laboratory analysis, and the establishment's operations were temporarily suspended.
It is worth recalling that earlier, it was discovered that one-fourth of the meat products used in some preschool educational institutions in the Nurota district of the Navoi region were unfit for consumption.
