Teachers receiving high test scores to receive 70% additional bonus

Starting from the next academic year, teachers will receive qualification certificates based on international standards. Educators who score 86 or higher on qualification tests will be eligible for a 70% bonus on their salaries. This was announced today, September 30, during a discussion between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and representatives from the education sector.
It was emphasized that continued support and recognition of teachers' work remains a priority.
For instance, a highly qualified biology teacher with an international certificate in their subject will receive a 50% salary increase. In addition, up to 40% can come from the principal's fund, and a further 70% if the teacher meets the new standards. As a result, their total monthly salary could increase from 4.5 million sums to 12 million sums.
It was also noted that achieving a salary equivalent to $1,000 for teachers is becoming a reality in such cases.
The number of bonus categories for teachers, based on their skills and achievements, has grown from 3 to 17. Currently, 6,000 teachers, who have invested in self-development and obtained international certificates, earn more than 10 million sums per month. In 2020, there were only 102 teachers with such qualifications.
Although there is still room for improvement, the number of high-earning teachers has increased 5.3 times over the past two years.
