The President of Singapore Traveled to Samarkand by Train

Today, the 25th of May, the President of Singapore, Halima Yaqub, traveled to Samarkand on the “Afrosiab” train.  The high-ranking guest was welcomed by the governor of Samarkand region, Erkinjon Turdimov.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Regional Administration.

According to the report, the President of Singapore Halima Yaqub, who is in Uzbekistan on a state visit, was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Zulayho Mahkamova.

It is worth noting that on the 23rd of May this year, the President of Singapore, Halima Yaqub, arrived in Uzbekistan on a two-day state visit.  She was welcomed at the airport by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Zulayho Mahkamova and other officials.  On the 24th of May, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev cordially welcomed Singapore’s leader Halima Yaqub at the Koksaroy residence and invited her to the podium.  Bilateral cooperation documents on economy, industry, tourism, culture and other fields were signed between Uzbekistan and Singapore.  At the end of the inter-state summit, a tree planting ceremony was held at the Koksaroy residence.
