The mayor of Shorchi district was given a letter of admonition 

On 1 November of this year, under the chairmanship of Sardor Umurzakov, the head of the Presidential Administration, a meeting of video selectors dedicated to the current problems in the public education system was held.  At this meeting, Umurzakov gave a letter of admonition to Bakhtiyar Khudoyberganov, the governor of Shorchi district of Surkhandarya region.  This was reported by UzA.

Also, the arbitrariness and cold-heartedness of the officials during the transformation of an ordinary school in Shorchi district into a specialized school were seriously criticized.

Due to the lack of proper organization, students had to attend a school 5-6 kilometers away. This caused rightful objections from parents.  As a result, on the initiative of the former director of the middle school, classes were started for children in resident's houses.

“What’s that saying?”  Is this human value?  Would officials in Tashkent, who sit in cool summer offices and warm winter offices, agree that their children should walk 10 kilometers every day in the village’s mud roads and then study in people’s houses?  Teachers teaching at home are not paid.  What is the teacher’s fault here?” said Sardar Umurzakov.

After this incident, the mayor of Shorchi district, Bakhtiyor Khudoyberganov, was given a letter of admonition.  The deputy governor of the district and the head of the department of public education, who joined the education of students in the houses of the public, were released from their positions.
