On June 28, under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoev, a video conference focusing on youth policy and engagement was held. This information was relayed by the President's press secretary, Sherzod Asadov.

During the meeting, it was announced that starting from the new academic year, the "International Baccalaureate" and "A-level" programs will be implemented in 73 academic lyceums affiliated with universities. Students who obtain certificates from these programs will be admitted to the respective universities without an exam, based on a contract.

"Our youth are taking the SAT exam in mathematics, English, and scientific reasoning to study at foreign universities. Students who score above 75% in these tests receive grants to attend the most prestigious foreign universities. We will now offer similar grants to these students for admission to our universities," stated the President.

Additionally, it will become easier for young people with disabilities to take foreign language exams. Specifically, when obtaining a national certificate for a foreign language (CEFR), those unable to write by hand will have the option to take the exam on a computer.

It was highlighted that young people often achieve high scores in the theoretical sections of international Olympiads but fall short in practical skills due to a lack of laboratory experience. To address this, an "Olympic Preparation Center" will be established under the Presidential Schools Agency, equipped with specialized laboratories. The national team for the International Olympiad will prepare at this center following a structured plan.

Annually, $100 million is allocated to train young people in high-paying professions and to expand projects that create significant added value. The Youth Entrepreneurship Fund, currently under the Ministry of Investment, will be transferred to the Youth Agency.

Dedicated young entrepreneurs who create the most jobs will be included in the foundation's board. The head of the fund will also be chosen by these young people.

The fund will select the best 500 youth projects, providing them with a "business package" and supporting the projects through their entire development until they become profitable businesses. It will offer loans of up to 100 million soums for three years to startups. Additionally, young entrepreneurs will receive preferential loans of 100 million soums for business expansion and turnover.

Furthermore:

  • 50,000 mobile sales points will be established along highways and rented to young people. For the first six months, they will receive discounts on rent and taxes.
  • If entrepreneurs propose projects benefiting young people, the fund will partially cover their loan interest. Ten million dollars will be allocated for these purposes.
  • Experienced farmers and master farmers will mentor 150,000 young novice farmers, training them to grow profitable and exportable products.
  • Free Wi-Fi will be installed in every amusement park, park, and boulevard.
