Deputy director of a university was apprehended for accepting a bribe in Nukus

6817The deputy director, who had assured a student of admission to the State University of Physical Education and Sports of Uzbekistan, has been detained. This information comes from the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
It has been reported that citizen T.E. was caught red-handed receiving 2,000 US dollars in return for facilitating the admission of S.S. into the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sports, using his contacts. T.E. was found with the physical evidence of the bribe during the transaction.
As a result, a criminal case has been filed under Article 168 (fraud) and Articles 28 and 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, with ongoing investigations.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, the dean of a faculty at Urganch State University in the Khorezm region was also arrested for promising to bypass the creative (professional) exam for a student.
