Six people were arrested for illegal fishing in the Sardoba reservoir

Two citizens who illegally fished in Sardoba reservoir of Syrdarya region were caught.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

It was stated that from 30 March to 1 April, the next control raid events were held in cooperation with the Syrdarya Regional Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard.  From 23:00 p.m. on 30 March to 03:00 a.m. on 31 March, 242 fish of three types were caught using prohibited fishing gear.

1 rubber boat, 1 battery, 1 electric fishing rod and 1 pair of oars were seized from the offenders for temporary storage as evidence.  Also, 196,380,000 soms of damage caused to the animal world was determined against the offenders.

During the raid conducted on 1 April, it was found that four citizens illegally caught a total of 288 fish of 6 types using prohibited fishing weapons in the Sardoba reservoir.

2 aluminum boats, 2 gasoline engines and 500 meters of fishing nets were seized from the offenders for temporary storage as evidence.  83,670,000 soms of damage caused to the animal world have been determined for these offences.

In order to take measures in accordance with the law, documents have been drawn up for submission to the prosecutor’s office.
