Yesterday 10 October, a pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident in the city of Samarkand. This is reported by the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the region.

The accident occurred on 10 October at 20:15pm on Gagarin Street in Samarkand. The citizen, while walking across the pedestrian crossing, was hit by a Volkswagen moving in the same direction. The pedestrian K.S. was on foot, he was seriously injured and died on the spot.

At present, the investigation department of the Samarkand Internal Affairs Civil Appeals Department has initiated criminal proceedings under article 266, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code.
