3329On August 15, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a phone conversation, as reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the call, they discussed various aspects of Russia-Uzbekistan cooperation, including the further enhancement of their comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance relations. They also addressed regional and international issues and future bilateral events.
The conversation was part of the follow-up on agreements resulting from Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Uzbekistan in May this year.
Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to closely coordinating diplomatic efforts to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Moscow and Tashkent. This includes collaborative work at the UN and various multilateral integration platforms.
"We had a telephone conversation with Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia. The schedule of upcoming events between Uzbekistan and Russia at various levels is quite extensive. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries will use all their resources to fully implement all agreements reached between the heads of state. We also discussed various aspects of our strategic partnership and alliance, including bilateral and multilateral cooperation," Bakhtiyor Saidov stated on his Telegram channel.
We remind you that on August 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin also had a telephone conversation, initiated by the Uzbek side.
