On November 9, a message entitled "UN experts: Uzbekistan should stop persecuting minority rights defenders" was published on the official website of the UN. In it, independent experts stated that they are deeply concerned about Dauletmurat Tajimuratov's condition and that he is being threatened, insulted, and inhumanely treated in prison.

The Human Rights representative (ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis reacted to this news. According to the report, the members of the commission also visited investigative detention center No. 11 in the city of Urganch of the Khorezm region, studied the conditions of the persons detained there, and met with Dauletmurat Tajimuratov. At the meeting, Tajimuratov said that there was no torture, pressure, or coercion against him during the investigation and in the pre-trial detention center. He had no objections to the quality of food and other conditions in the pre-trial detention center.

Tajimuratov also added that he has been provided with a lawyer, and there are no objections to meeting with him.

"We ask all independent experts, international organizations, and mass media who are reacting to the above issues to rely on official information and substantiated facts when preparing their announcements and posts," the statement said.

We remind you that during monitoring visits to closed institutions, the representative of the Oliy Majlis on Human Rights and the representatives of the public group under him met with Tajimuratov on May 6, 2023, when he was detained in investigative detention center No. 1 in Zangiota district, Tashkent region, and on September 9, Navoi met him while he was serving his sentence in penal colony No. 11 in the region.
