Woman wanted for human trafficking was arrested in Turkey

8444A 44-year-old woman who had been wanted in Uzbekistan for eight years on charges of human trafficking was arrested in Turkey. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The woman, identified as Tursuntash Kadirova, was wanted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She has now been deported to Tashkent.
“Citizens who have suffered from the actions of this person are asked to contact the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, the lower territorial divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, or internal affairs bodies,” the report stated.
It should be recalled that earlier, authorities announced plans to intensify efforts to apprehend individuals wanted in Uzbekistan who have fled to Turkey. In another case, a person wanted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2021 was also arrested in Turkey and deported to Tashkent.
