Fire occurrence at Navoi thermal power plant (video)

On January 5, the Ministry of Energy reported that a fire broke out at transformer No. 12 at the thermal power plant in the Karmana district of the Navoi region.

The fire, which ignited at 14:29, was fully extinguished by 14:49 through the efforts of the Navoi Thermal Power Plant Fire Safety Service and the regional Emergency Situations Department.

According to the regional Emergency Situations Department, the dispatch service received a fire report at 14:34. Fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene by 14:37, contained the fire by 14:49, and fully extinguished it by 15:14. A total of 8 fire and rescue crews were involved in the operation.

The incident did not result in power outages for residential, social, or industrial facilities. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation.
