School Guard Beaten and Abandoned in the Mountains in Navoiy (Video)

A report was received by QALAMPIR.UZ regarding an incident involving a school guard from the 43rd school in Khatirchi district, Navoiy region. On February 6, the guard was allegedly forced into labor under the direction of the school principal and a group of staff. During work to load sand in a mountainous area, a dispute arose after significant alcohol consumption, leading to the guard being struck multiple times on the head with a metal shovel and abandoned at the scene. The regional Department of Internal Affairs has commented on the case.

It was reported that video footage of the assault was thoroughly reviewed by regional law enforcement officers.

According to the findings, on February 6, a group of employees from the 43rd school in the “Yangi Qurilish” neighborhood of Khatirchi district traveled to the Mirzo Ulugbek neighborhood in Navbahor district to collect sand for ongoing school repairs. During this trip, alcohol was consumed.

At that time, a conflict arose between individuals identified as Sh.Kh. and O.J. During the altercation, O.J. struck Sh.X. multiple times on the head and face with a shovel, causing severe injuries, and then fled the scene.

The Khatirchi district Investigation Department has initiated preliminary investigative actions regarding the incident.

“A criminal case has been opened against O.J. under relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied,” the report stated.
