Eldor Shomurodov, captain of the Uzbekistan national team, shared his thoughts following the 0-0 draw against Iran in the third round of the World Cup qualifiers.

"I believe we didn't play poorly. We lost 2 points, but I don't consider it a significant loss. Every point is valuable to us, and our primary goal is to qualify for the World Cup. We'll strive to win the next game and secure those crucial 3 points. A match against Iran is never easy, and I don't think we delivered a bad performance with a 0-0 result. We fought well against a strong opponent," Shomurodov stated.

He also commented on the red card issued to the Iranian player during the match.

"First and foremost, we had a good opportunity to win. However, as I mentioned, today's 1 point isn't a negative outcome. We need to focus on preparing seriously for the next match; we don’t have time to dwell on this result," Shomurodov added.

It is worth noting that earlier, Vlado Radmanovich, the assistant coach of the national team, also shared his insights about the game.
