In the 3rd quarter of this year, 439 men over the age of 60 and 33 men over the age of 70 had children. The Ministry of Justice published a report on this.
According to the report, in the 3rd quarter of 2024, 179,425 marriages were registered in the republic, of which 149,814 were concluded between couples under the age of 30. The highest rate was recorded in the Samarkand region, where families got married at an average age of 24.
The number of marriages among citizens over the age of 50 was 998, with the largest number recorded in the city of Tashkent.
The report also shows the number of births during this period, with 3,489 citizens becoming parents under the age of 20. Among women, this figure was 104,509.
In addition, 439 men over the age of 60 became fathers, and 33 men over the age of 70. Similarly, 15 mothers over the age of 50 had children.
The total number of twin births during this period was 17,106:
The Fergana region had the highest number of twin births (2,631 people), while the lowest number of twin births was recorded in the Syrdarya region (391 people).
