Futsal: Uzbekistan drops sharply in the FIFA ranking

The national team of Uzbekistan has dropped 10 places in the updated ranking of futsal national teams by the International Football Federation (FIFA). This information was reported on the organization's website.
Uzbek futsal players are now in 21st place in the new ranking. Among Asian teams, both Iran and Thailand also experienced a decrease of two places, with Iran now at 6th and Thailand at 11th. Uzbekistan holds the 3rd position among Asian teams.
The rankings are currently led by Brazil, the reigning world champion. Portugal, the winner of the 2021 World Cup, follows in second place. The Argentine national team, which was the finalist in the World Championship held in Tashkent, moved up two spots to enter the top three.
Additionally, it was reported earlier that the Spanish coach of the Uzbekistan futsal team, Jose Venancio Lopez, was dismissed due to unsatisfactory results in the World Cup.
