UN Human Rights Council supports the resolution submitted by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan

2303On October 10, during the 57th session of the UN Human Rights Council, participating countries unanimously approved a joint resolution aimed at ending domestic violence. This initiative was submitted by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz delegation highlighted that the primary goal of the resolution is to establish global standards focused on preventing and eliminating all forms of domestic violence. They emphasized that domestic violence is a universal issue that transcends borders and cultural differences, impacting individuals worldwide.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "the resolution was recognized and supported by all member states and demonstrates the solidarity of the international community in protecting human rights and ensuring the safety of women and girls."
Additionally, it is noteworthy that on February 26 of this year, at the UN headquarters in New York, the General Assembly unanimously approved the resolution "2027 - International Year of Sustainable and Viable Tourism," which was proposed by Uzbekistan.
