3 members of a family die from carbon monoxide poisoning in Namangan

2393A tragic incident in the Namangan region has claimed the lives of a father and his two children due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The news was confirmed by Hayot Shamsutdinov, press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, via QALAMPIR.UZ.
The incident occurred on November 18 at 7:30 a.m. on Kurgantepa Street in the Iskovut Municipal Family Facility, located in the Pop district. The victims were identified as A.B. (male, born in 1988) and his minor children, O.A. (born in 2014) and A.A. (born in 2010). They were poisoned by carbon monoxide emitted from a natural gas burner installed in a homemade heating stove.
The man’s wife, G.M., also suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning and was hospitalized in serious condition. Thanks to timely medical intervention, her life was saved.
The district prosecutor's office has launched a preliminary investigation into the incident.
This is not the first such tragedy in Uzbekistan. In a separate incident in the Andijan region, four members of a family died after inhaling carbon monoxide leaked from a faulty heating device (boiler) while they slept. Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of proper maintenance and safety checks for heating appliances to prevent similar occurrences.
